Hello and welcome to our website! We are a group of students in the 3rd year of our Physics degrees at the University of Dundee. The availability and continued efforts of and towards outreach projects like this one is vital to the survival and increased diversity within the sciences. This project was designed as a way for us to teach you some physics in a fun and exciting way. We have worked hard as a team to present to you the basics of rocket science and we hope you enjoy learning through our interactive website!

Hi! I'm Hannah and I study Physics at the University of Dundee. I remember learning about the concepts behind rocket launches and space travel at school and I was completely fascinated! I particularly enjoyed learning about Newton's laws and how they can apply to everyday life as well as mind-blowing things like rockets! I hope you enjoy learning about rockets just as much as I did!

My roles in this outreach project included preparing materials on the pre-launch topics and creating this fun website for you! We hope that you learn something new and have some fun along the way! :)

Hi, I’m Chris and study Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Dundee. Having been captivated by space since I got my first encyclopaedia at age four (I know, what a nerd) I have taken every opportunity to study it in more detail. My main role in this outreach project was the making of the various games (which I hope you enjoy playing as much as I enjoyed the making of them) although each of us chipped into all aspects of the project as a whole in order to bring you this website as a finished project.

If everything went according to plan, we hope you’ve learnt something new here and maybe, just maybe, we’ve inspired you to explore the stars.

Hello! My name is Innes and I study Physics at the University of Dundee. When I was at school I loved learning about space travel, so much so that I even used to want to be an astronaut! All the simulations you'll use on the website were my biggest contribution to this project. I also collected all the information on orbits, and created the arts and crafts activity.

I have really enjoyed working with this team to bring this project to life, and I hope that you enjoy using this website and learning more about space even more than we did creating it.

Hey! My name is Sanyah and I study Astrophysics at the University of Dundee. My favourite thing about Physics is learning all about space and how there are always cool new things to be found! Like a lot of people, I have always wondered if there are aliens somewhere in our universe - what do you think?

I have had lots of fun coming up with exciting experiments for you to try at home. Hopefully you will enjoy making them!

Hi there! I'm Greatney and I study Physics at the University of Dundee. From a small age, I loved the idea of space exploration. I was obsessed with TV shows set in outer space, from astronauts to science officers. Seeing their adventures in space made me realise how little we know is out there in the universe.

During this project, I was responsible for gathering information on escape velocities and alongside Hannah, I helped put together this website for you! All in all, I hope you learnt a few more things about rockets and encourages you to seek out the universe a little bit more.
